A quick portrait that took a couple of hours with charcoal. This is a low quality photo from camera phone, the actual picture was on a canvas that was fairly big: 2ft x 1 1/2 ft or something similar.

I prefer drawing portraits to anything else, simply because expression and drawing living things has always fascinated me more, apparently from a young age. I found a drawing from reception class in primary school the other day, depicting the last supper (it was a Catholic primary school...). Amusingly enough I depicted Jesus with a dotty shirt and two of the disciples arriving late. Wish I could remember being that young better :P
